FAQ
Here are some of our most common questions, we answer a TON more in our FAQ, click on over if you had more questions!
Do I have to sign any contracts?
No, but by accepting our terms and conditions and paying for our services, you are simply giving Circle City Scoopers implied permission to visit your property to pick up your dog poop and perform our other services as outlined in our Policies and Procedures. There is no minimum service commitment, and you may cancel anytime with a 24 hour notice.
Any additional fees or charges I should Know About?
There is an additional charge on the first visit, IF your yard has not been cleaned up in a while.
We also charge our weekly service fee if we visit your yard and cannot gain access due to a locked gate, aggressive dog or other barrier to entry, and we charge a late fee if a credit or debit card is declined and not corrected the same day as the charge.
We have items and services that we charge extra for including:
- Cleaning/sanitizing dog waste from decks/patios/sidewalks and other hard surface ($5/visit)
- Come Back requests after being unable to service your yard due to locked gates, etc. ($5/visit)
- Cleaning Rocks/Pebbled Areas ($3/visit)
- Waiting — If you make us wait to perform your cleaning. ($5/visit)
Late payment fee – $10 added to each bill that is late. Payment is due the 1st of each month. Bill becomes late on the 3rd of each month.
Does the size of my Dog impact pricing?
We typically charge the same for small or large dogs; however, we reserve the option to add an upcharge for unique situations. Sometimes people think that since their small dogs produce small poop, our service should be less expensive; however, often small dog poop the size of a Tootsie Roll is hard to find, especially when in a gravel or grass yard. We will advise you on our first visit if we need to modify our pricing prior to starting any service for you.
Does the Sized of My Yard Impact Pricing?
We provide a quote based on your feedback on the request form, including the areas requiring scooping. That can impact the pricing you receive.
Are you Insured?
Yes! You are protected as we service your yard. We carry business insurance and worker compensation insurance.
When you visit My Yard, What Exactly Do you Do?
We scoop your dog’s poop by using a grid-method of searching – north to south, then east to west, so we don’t miss any hidden piles.
After scooping, we double bag up the dog waste, seal the bag airtight and deposit it into your trash can. If you requested our sanitizing and deodorizing service, we spray all areas where heavy dog waste and urination were found prior to leaving. If you’ve opted for the optional take-away service we take the poo with us.
We then exit and ensure that all gates have been closed to prevent a pet escape, and finally, we leave a “You’ve Been Scooped” slip at your front door step.
What do you do with the poo After You Scoop It Up?
We double bag your dog waste, seal the bag airtight and discard it in your trash can or place it where you ask us to put it. If that’s not possible or desired, we can haul it away for an additional fee per week.
Can you service our yard when we're not home?
Absolutely. We are often working in folks yards while they’re at work. We can work with you to ensure we have access to your back yard and are able to provide our services without you being present.
Can you service our yard with the dogs outside?
Our team loves dogs and would be happy to clean your property with them outside as long as they are friendly and allow us to do our job unimpeded. If they aren’t as friendly or simply make our job more difficult, we would prefer if you kept them inside until our services are complete.
You know your pets best, if they are escape artists or unsure of strangers please leave them inside. We text prior to visiting your property, providing ample time to put the dogs in if needed.
